Anthony is a lawyer at Bastian Hancock Stynes Lawyers, and was admitted in September 2023. Despite his recent admission to practice, Anthony has a broad range of experience in both commercial and criminal litigation.
Anthony’s experience includes conducting legal research, preparing court documents, conducting negotiations with prosecutors, preparing briefs to Counsel and appearing in court with Counsel.
Anthony has a keen interest in both commercial and criminal litigation, with an interest in furthering his experience in the fields of employment and insolvency law.
Prior to joining Bastian Hancock Stynes Lawyers, Anthony gained a plethora of experience in his prior occupation as Mayor of the City of Maribyrnong in 2022, becoming the city’s youngest Mayor (and arguably the youngest Mayor in Victoria). In his role, Anthony undertook negotiations with private firms and public/government sector bodies alike in order to obtain better results for his community, conducted meetings with Federal and State members of Parliament in respect of funding agreement/arrangements for local projects and advocated for the introduction of further/improved mental health facilities in the Western suburbs of Victoria.
In his spare time, Anthony partakes in community and non-for-profit events and fundraisers, but equally enjoys a cheeky glass or two of wine as the occasion requires.
