Harley graduated from Deakin University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Criminology and Minoring in Philosophy. Harley also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen.

Harley has ample experience in Criminal and Commercial Law, however since he was admitted into the legal profession in October 2021, Harley has practiced almost exclusively in Family Law. He has been involved in all aspects of the family law process, both in property settlement and parenting matters, and continues to seek out further training to expand his knowledge and skillset.

As a result of his prior commercial experience, Harley is particularly interested in complex property settlements and alternative dispute resolution. Harley’s knowledge of these areas allows him to think outside the box and produce results that meet the needs of his clients.

Harley is committed to helping clients resolve disputes as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. That said, he understands that litigation is sometimes necessary, and is competent in guiding clients through often complex and sensitive proceedings.

Experience

Harley has drafted and filed numerous court documents with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia; including Consent Orders, Initiating Applications, and Applications for Divorce.

Harley has experience in the drafting of Wills, Power of Attorney Documents and Appointment of Medical Treatment Decision Maker Documents that often overlap with Family Law proceedings.

Harley has also been involved in the drafting of Binding Financial Agreements, whether that be before or after marriage, as well as in relation to de facto relationships.
