Khadeeja was admitted to practice in the legal profession in September 2021 and has practiced in commercial litigation since then.

She has a broad range of experience in commercial and civil litigation, including in areas of debt recovery, insolvency and estate litigation. In particular, Khadeeja has a deep knowledge of debt recovery proceedings and experience in drafting Court documents and pleadings, for both the plaintiff and the defendant in these proceedings. She is experienced in drafting various civil interlocutory applications including applications for Summary Judgement, Judgement in Default of Defence and Summonses.

Khadeeja is also skilled in drafting and providing advice on commercial agreements and documents including Licence Agreements, Deeds of Settlement and Termination and Franchise Agreements.

Experience

Khadeeja has worked on numerous insolvency applications and proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia; including issuing Creditor’s Statutory Demands; Winding Up Applications and Bankruptcy proceedings for various commercial entities.

Khadeeja has also initiated and ran debt recovery proceedings in a wide array of jurisdictions across Australia including in the Magistrates’ and Supreme Courts within New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Tasmania.

Khadeeja is experienced in the drafting of Wills, Power of Attorney documents and Appointment of Medical Treatment Decision Maker documents and the provision of related advice for estate planning, including asset protection. She has also instructed on various estate litigation matters in the Supreme Court of Victoria on areas including Family Testator Maintenance Claims and the Interpretation of Wills.
